About VOS/ABB (English)
VOS/ABB is an association of 2800 primary schools and secondary schools in the Netherlands. Together these schools represent more than 800.000 pupils. Our members are non-denomination schools, open and accessible to all pupils. We are a well known professional organization that delivers tangible results to our members.
VOS/ABB assists her members with collective support, advises them on latest issues affecting primary and secondary education, including governance models, legal matters, finance, administration and real estate. And we offer consultancy services and temporary professionals to help our members address immediate needs.
VOS/ABB's vision is to ensure that Dutch schools provide excellent education to all children in the Netherlands. Our member's schools strive to offer every child the best education possible to enhance their chances of success in life.
VOS/ABB's goal is to look after and care for the interests of our members. We keep close contact with public and local authorities and members of the Dutch parliament and administration. We are one of the most influential lobbying groups.
VOS/ABB is continuously in contact with its members. We produce and distribute email newsletters, the magazine School! (in partnership with the Vereniging Openbaar Onderwijs) and brochures. We also have our www.vosabb.nl website and our own Helpdesk for members.
We develop special courses for our members, allowing them to update skills and knowledge and to expand their networks.
